🔨 The children made a volcano today, after reading a story about one. It involved a lot of hammering the ground. 🌋

Forest preschool has been focused on maps, with some students volunteering to be Navigators for our morning nature walks. Navigators learn about responsible leadership, make important choices about the direction of adventures, and problem solve when they come across obstacles in the path.

Building hand-eye coordination with Teacher Liana, by making pine needle baskets or frames! Children decorated their own basket bases, gathered and counted enough pine needle bunches to make the thickness consistent, and practiced with large blunted needles and string to loop tightly around the pine needles until secured.

Enjoying every last “naked feets!” day of 2024 to the fullest. 💜
