Hey First Voice friends and followers. Yesterday we walked with the family of Yolanda Ramirez on what would have been her 73rd birthday. Many of you will remember that Yolanda died after a troubling encounter with Brentwood police of Contra Costa County.

On Yolanda's birthday, the small group of family and friends walked between family homes on the same route Yolanda has taken thousands of times. When they arrived at the sisters home, where Yolanda was assaulted by police. They sang happy birthday and left a memorial candle and some gifts for their Uncle who they haven't seen since the deadly encounter.

The small group continued to walk 2 more miles to the Brentwood Police department when Rich, Yolanda's son and Rudy her husband thanked the folks for walking with them and shared a couple memories of Yolanda.
