Email Slingshot if you want to help make the 2027 Organizer: "slingshotcollective at protonmail dot com". You don't have to be in the SF Bay Area to participate. Please don't respond on IG - it is not secure and we don't keep track of stuff on IG.
-- if you want to draw a 4-week section or a month-at-a glance calendar, let us know whether you prefer pocket or spiral and which month if you care. Templates will go out via snail mail April 20 and are due back via snail mail Friday, May 22. All art must be hand-drawn and original.
-- from now until April 15 you can suggest new historical dates and help edit/revise the old ones.
-- If you have changes or additions for the radical contact list, please send them anytime before May 22. Slingshot is looking for help contacting all the existing contacts between April 21 - May 22 and especially international contacts if you speak other languages.
-- If you have ideas for features for the back of the organizer, please email or just go ahead and write the feature - due May 22.
-- Send cover art submissions by May 22.
* The ART PARTY to make the 2027 organizer will be Saturday May 30 noon - late & May 31 from 10 am - 7 pm at Long Haul 3124 Shattuck, Berkeley. Drop by for an hour or all day.

Help mail to 1,500 subscribers and prisoner.

Sunday is also Slingshot's 37th birthday (founded March 9, 1988) - there's no party planned but if the mailing gets done in time there might be something spontaneous.

BONUS materials

1. if you know of people who want to be volunteer distributors, have them send an email to "slingshotcollective at protonmail dot com" with their
- snail mail address
- how many copies they want
- if they want to get future issues, how long they will be at that address

2. if you know of people who want just 1 copy sent to them, have them contact us before Saturday at 5 pm.

3. If anyone has interest in typing prisoner addresses into the mailing list, there is a fat stack of letters from imprisoned people.

4. if you want to distribute copies on a road trip or around town, there's copies at the long haul.

5. Work on the 2026 organizer starts after the mailing gets done. In March we'll be editing and improving the list of historical dates. Email by April 20 if you wan to make art. There will be art parties to put everything together the last weekend in May and the first in June.

Issue 142 is out Feb. 28. If you can distribute it in your area, we will send it to you for Free! This platform is not secure. Please send an email to "slingshotcollective @ protonmail dot com" with your snail mail address and how many copies you want. We printed an extra 8,000 copies - 33,000 in all - do don't be shy. If you are in the bay area, join the mailing party Sun. March 2 - 3-9 pm - and Sat. March 1 - hours TBD - 3124 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley. Probably the following weekend March 8 and 9 as well. You can come by for just an hour or stay all day. Mailing 30,000+ copies of the paper is a gigantic amount of work so many hands make lighter work. It's more fun than it sounds. We need help here...
