Millions of children face challenges beyond their control, like extreme poverty and displacement, that put their development at risk. That’s why OneSky trains caregivers to provide responsive care that lays a strong foundation for a child’s physical, social and emotional health well into the future.

Will you make a gift to OneSky for International Children’s Day and help transform a child’s future? Right now, for a limited time, your gift will be tripled: https://bit.ly/3XGiftMatch2026

Today is International Children’s Day, and in Vietnam, eleven-month-old Mai cries and withdraws when her mother, Trang, brings her to a neighbor’s crowded apartment.

Trang is about to start her sixth 14-hour shift that week at a factory where she earns less than a dollar an hour. Life in an industrial zone without the support of extended family is hard, and childcare options are few.

Mai spends most days in a crib while the neighbor looks after eight children along with her own two. The room is dark and lacking toys and learning materials.

Then a friend tells Trang about a nearby, affordable childcare center with a OneSky-trained caregiver. There, Mai is held and gently encouraged to choose toys that pique her curiosity. Her caregiver has learned how to make little ones feel nurtured and secure as they begin to explore their surroundings.

In the earliest years, all children need essentially the same things. With your help, we are meeting those needs each day. And right now, for a limited time, your gift will be tripled to go three times as far in making an impact for kids like Mai: https://bit.ly/3XGiftMatch2026
