Thank you so much to Friends With Bikes for choosing Oasis as one of this year’s Alleycute beneficiaries. All registration funds will go to benefit us and other amazing orgs doing great work.

The race is for bike buds of all genders. Pair up (or bring your whole crew) to form a team of 2+ riders. The Alleycute is happening on July 18th! Be sure to tell your friends, neighbors, and community. Go your own pace and hype up your friends.

Muchos inmigrantes LGBTQ+ crecemos escuchando (explícitamente o a través de tratos) que no merecemos amor. Frecuentemente por parte de quienes se supone que debían protegernos. Continuar después de ser menospreciados es difícil.

Many LGBTQ+ immigrants grow up being told (either explicitly or through treatment), that we are not worthy of love. Often by those who are supposed to keep us safe. Having to build oneself up after being put down is a difficult thing to do.

And yet, every day, we are reminded of the strength of our community. ❤️‍🩹

In Fresno, building community is a constant labor of love. Our Central Valley team has created a welcoming and supportive environment for those who need it. When spaces are not created with us in mind, we build our own.

Participating in the Fresno Pride parade, we got to see what our clients, staff, and community have built and created together. Our piñata is a labor of love, and so is our community of q***r and trans immigrants. ❤️🌈

🌈🍬 Orgullo Sin Fronteras

Este fin de semana marchamos en el desfile de Fresno Pride, celebrando el poder, la creatividad y el liderazgo de nuestra comunidad de inmigrantes LGBTQ+. Con el tema escogido de "Dulce Amor" transformamos nuestra camioneta en una gigantesca piñata y repartimos dulces de todo el mundo.

Lo más inspirador fueron las personas detrás de este evento: nuestros clientes quienes crearon una celebración reflejando quiénes son como líderes, artistas, soñadores y miembros orgullosos de la comunidad. En un lugar donde muchas personas LGBTQ+ aún pueden sentirse aisladas o invisibles, esperamos que la presencia de Oasis en este desfile haya sido un recordatorio poderoso de que pertenecen y que nunca están soles. 💖

🌈🍬 Pride Without Borders

This weekend, we marched in the Fresno Pride parade, celebrating the power, creativity, and leadership of our LGBTQ+ immigrant community. The theme of our float was ‘Dulce Amor’ (Sweet Love), we transformed our truck into a giant piñata and handed out candy from around the world.

The most inspiring part were the people behind the event: our clients, who created a celebration reflecting who they are as leaders, artists, dreamers, and proud members of the community. In a place where many LGBTQ+ individuals may still feel isolated or invisible, qe hope that Oasis’ presence in the parade served as a powerful reminder that they are not alone. 💖

El tema del desfile de este año es «Orgullo sin Fronteras», y el tema de nuestra carroza de Oasis es «Dulce Amor». 🍬

¡Búscanos junto al camión gigante —del tamaño de una
piñata—, rodeado de dulces provenientes de todo el mundo! 🪅

Estaremos ubicados en el Tower District de Fresno, en la esquina noreste de Palm Ave y Olive Ave.
