On Saturday, we gathered in community, over coffee, to celebrate the best of Oakland—and to lift up Barbara Lee’s campaign for Mayor.

It was a beautiful morning of sisterhood, strength, and solidarity—hosted by the incredible Women for Barbara Lee host committee. We were honored to be joined by the phenomenal Congresswoman Lateefah Simon, who lit the room on fire with truth and conviction.

Congresswoman Simon powerfully reminded us of four essential truths about Barbara Lee’s leadership:

3 She does not turn our communities against one another.
