This is going to be a repeat lesson from March this year. Although this lesson is titled 'Training to (Come up to) Sit without Leaning on the Floor,' I would like to focus on learning to observe how much you can reduce your effort to move against gravity. When you can let go of your unnecessary, conscious or unconscious, muscular effort, moving against gravity is not as hard as you might have felt.

This week, the lesson focuses on lengthening the arms. Then you will be challenged to some movement pretzel patterns and keep in mind to lengthen your arm. This in one of those lessons that teach us how we often move in a counter-productive manner when we try hard to do something else.

After the last week's lesson of "hip joints" by way of lengthening the legs, we will tackle a lesson of "Shoulder joints" by way of lengthening the arms. It is a great lesson to become more aware of how the movement of the shoulder joint complexes are deeply connected to the use of the spine.
