PM: Skin up Left Hand Reservoir, Brainard.

Followed by the beat Nederland pizza 🍕and birthday celebrations for

One very tired 🐶 after a big few days! He didn’t even move from the couch when I left for a run this morning - 💤🩵

and - Still trying to process the incredible three days last week on the inaugural Leadership Academy for Women’s Sports at UC Berkeley Executive Education centre and try to put into words the impact.

The opportunity to meet and learn from an extraordinary group of women (and Cam) from across the women’s sports ecosystem and feel the energy, support, openness, honesty, camaraderie with the passion and ambition to advance women’s sport.

World class professors and lecturers bringing energized conversations and topics around Leadership and team, AI & Business Analytics and more. Courses that challenged me and my thinking, but gave me confidence and helped me to realign with who I am, and where I want to add value and have impact.

Still overwhelmed, energized, in awe, and the rest. A truly unique experience for which I am grateful to have been part of.

Thank you to Dr. Kellie A. McElhaney and the whole team for building and bringing this program to life, with such enthusiasm, drive and passion.
(Hana Athanasios Bryanna Cacioppo Jennfier Wells)

Also to Kelly deMarrais and Earlystone and Donna Wills Colson for the support of this program and enabling it to happen for us.

After a 1 hour introduction to Curling 🥌… I’m clearly now an armchair 💪🏼🪑expert on this sport 🤣🙈 and critiquing all the athletes at the Winter Olympics 🙈🤣

What a fun afternoon, learning more about curling and having a go! 🥌🥌🥌

Whilst we are seeing some of the “experienced” athletes competing well at the Olympics - Claudia Rieglet, 52 🇦🇹 (snowboarder) Nick Baumgartner 44 🇺🇸(snowboard cross), Sarah Schleper 46 🇲🇽 (Super G - also competing with her son. schleper in her 7th Olympics, her son in his first - and the first mother-son pair to compete at the Winter Games) and loads more in their 40s 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

I’m pretty sure I won’t be making 2030 or 2034 for 🥌 or any sport 😀

I’ve been loving watching the Winter Olympics. I think this is the most I’ve watched and been interested in - by just soaking it all up, wanting to learn, understand, about the sports, the athlete stories, the favourites, the underdogs and upsets, but the pure joy and emotion when they win a medal and having a small understanding of all the hours, all the work, everything that has gone into that moment. 🥹

The elation is infectious, but it’s so brutal too - when after 4years, if not more years of hard work, dedication, maybe several Olympic cycles… it doesn’t happen, and the heart break and hurt.

To get it right for 1 day or 1 moment, often less than 60sec of time in your life. And when really only one person will likely get ot right.

My heart has hurt for those disappointed and sang and grown for those smiles when it happens and all the emotion comes out 🥹 the admiration I have for these athletes, again having a small insight into how much the put in day in and day out, and knowing the amazing opportunities I’ve had through sport - and the highs and lows too.

Sport is amazing! Athletes are incredible
