Join Jews in Science and Engineering at Chabad UC Berkeley this Shabbat, April 14 to hear Dr. Edward Moses who has over 40 years of experience working in engineering, physics, fusion technologies, and laser science including 30 years at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory where he was responsible for the construction and operation of the National Ignition Facility (NIF), the world’s largest and most energetic laser. This is where, for the first time, fusion with energy gain was demonstrated. Secretary of Energy Granholm said that this is “one of the most impressive scientific feats of the 21st century," adding that the "breakthrough will go down in the history books."

JEWSE takes home the top prize at Berkeley’s CADathon, hosted by ASME and sponsored by Jacob’s Hall and Blue Origin, in their division.
