Community Grains was founded on the knowledge that healthier soil creates healthier plants, which creates healthier humans. The anecdotal evidence and pieces of the puzzle are everywhere, but they’ve needed to be connected.

We’re beyond excited that the National Academy of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine are launching a committee to “review the state of knowledge on linkages between soil health, with particular respect to US agricultural soils, and human health and prepare a report describing the potential to increase the human health benefits from microbial resources in the soil.”

Otto File Polenta is back!

Made from whole milled amber dent corn, this polenta is known for its creaminess and flavor. This corn was originally cultivated by the indigenous people in what’s currently know as the New England region. It was introduced to Italy in the 1800s, where it was further cultivated to be Otto File, the premier polenta variety it is today.
