“Even though the sisters who made my grant possible are ‘strangers’ to me, I’ll always be thankful for them. They were my angels during my time of need.” Kentucky Gamma Mary Cecilia Scialdone Murk was diagnosed with melanoma at 22. With the help of a grant from Pi Beta Phi Foundation’s Emma Harper Turner Fund, she met the financial challenges of her treatment plan. Today, she’s healthy and sharing her story with the world.
