When house hunting pay attention to which items you can easily change vs which items cannot change.

It is easy to get drawn in by a pretty tile backsplash or designer light fixtures only to realize later that the layout doesn’t work for you.

I tell all my buyers who are trying to find a balance in their home search to consider a compromise on the things that can be changed instead of compromising on the things that cannot be changed.

That brand new kitchen will be old in a few years. But, if the layout and location work for you they will continue to stand the test of time.
