Pink dolphins, piranha fishing, night skiff rides, and an anaconda in the wild. Allyse’s latest FAM trip was packed with once-in-a-lifetime moments.
She started in Lima before flying to Iquitos and continuing by road to Nauta, where she boarded Pure Amazon for three nights in the Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve.
📍 Lima, Peru
📍 Iquitos and Nauta, Peru
📍 Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve
The days were packed with early-morning wildlife outings, jungle walks, kayaking, village visits, incredible food, and even a swim in the Amazon with pink river dolphins nearby.
And while Pure Amazon was every bit as luxurious as expected, what made it so special was how deeply connected the whole experience felt to the place. The local guides, crew, cuisine, design, and excursions all brought the Amazon to life in a way that felt personal, thoughtful, and completely immersive.
Read why Allyse says this is the Amazon experience she’ll be recommending to every Peru traveler at the link in our bio.

His adventure included walking through the wild landscapes of Laikipia with the Samburu people, sleeping in the heart of the Mara North Conservancy, and coming face to face with gorillas in the forests of Uganda.
"It was a combination of exhilarating, inspiring, eye-opening, at times tiring, and just plain fun," says Jim, "especially traveling with my daughter."
