T.J. Hendrix - Storyteller

It was a rough November, but I am finding plenty to be thankful for. Like the sun through the trees that hang over our back deck. This is what 4 o'clock in the afternoon looks like in Northern California on a normal afternoon the week of Thanksgiving. For that, and many other things, I give thanks. I wish you all know peace and plenty, and that those things come soon to the war torn places of the world that need them most

Sometimes, taking care of business is fun! I got ro meet a lot of great authors at the Bay Area Book Festival's first Family Day at Berkely's main library. The best part was...who am I kidding? Whenever somebody decided to buy my book!

Next best was meeting readers! My new cover was a big draw for 9 year olds. And adults. Good to know. I spent over an hour talking to one great 9 year old named Ivy. She bought my book with her own money after talking to me about it. Then she stopped by my table in 10 minute visits, off and on, all afternoon.

We talked books, dogs, summer vacation and general stuff. She brought her mom and big sister over to say goodbye near the end of the afternoon. One very smart, mighty girl.

Annnnnnd I got to meet a lot of great authors! A lot of good books there, from picture books to YA.

Maybe the best is yet unwritten...but there were some mighty good stories in that room.
