When you see a strange looking patch on a freshly painted wall at a home inspection, touch it, hand goes through wall (what was left of wall)...and the result is a handful of termites. Yuck.

The real estate frenzy has produced a bunch of "Lipstick on Pig" houses. Be careful out there if you're a buyer. Many sellers are only taking contracts that waive a home inspection.

Don't fall for it. Rent for another year. In addition to termites, the foundation was completely jacked. These young buyers were smart by insisting the contract was contingent on the inspection. They can now get their money back.

Sometimes home inspections are just downright strange...
