Protein Baked Penne with Marinara & Beef (serves 8-10)
Oil a 13 x 9 glass pan and preheat oven to 375 degrees. Boil penne pasta (per package instructions) to just shy of al dente. Strain pasta and set aside. In same pot, brown over medium heat 16 oz ground beef with 1 tbl olive oil, 1 tsp garlic powder, a pinch of cayenne, 2 tbl dried oregano and salt & pepper to taste. When mostly browned, pour in 2 large cans (28 oz) of crushed tomatoes and simmer on low 10 minutes. Combine pasta with tomato sauce off heat, adding in Β½ cup Isopure Unflavored Whey Protein Isolate, Β½ cup parmesan cheese (powder or fresh), and Β½ c shredded cheese (mozzarella, cheddar or gruyere are good options). Stir well & pour into prepared dish. Bake 20-25 minutes til bubbly. Serve.
