We're excited to introduce another one of our outstanding volunteer athletes, Landon Sylvie!

A Shreveport native and Calvary Baptist Academy graduate, Landon is currently a junior safety at the University of Southern Mississippi. Before joining Southern Miss, Started 7 games at corner during his true freshman year, sophomore year at SEMO (FCS) 1st team all conference, current starter at UIniversity of Southern Mississippi.

Landon is excited to be part of the Ronnie Coker Football Camp because he wants to give back to kids who were once in the same shoes he was.

His advice to every young athlete:
⭐ "You don't have to be the biggest or fastest, but you need a great work ethic."

We're grateful to have Landon investing his time, experience, and passion into the next generation. We can't wait for our campers to learn from him both on and off the field!

🏈 MEET THE HOST! 🏈
We're excited to officially introduce Barrett Newman, host of the Inaugural Ronnie Coker Football Camp!

Barrett Newman is a Bossier City native, Parkway High School graduate, and senior linebacker at Delta State University. A member of Liberty University's 2023 Conference USA Championship team, Barrett was also a standout dual-sport athlete, earning All-District, Metro, City, and State honors in both football and baseball.

For Barrett, however, this camp is about far more than football or personal accomplishments. The Ronnie Coker Football Camp was born from his passion to give back to the community that invested so much in him growing up. His vision is to use the game he loves to encourage, mentor, and inspire the next generation while creating an unforgettable experience for every participant.

Through football, faith, and service, Barrett hopes to provide young athletes and individuals with special needs the same encouragement, mentorship, and opportunities that helped shape his own journey—all while honoring Coach Ronnie Coker's legacy and investing in the future of our community.

On July 25, Barrett and an incredible team of collegiate and high school athletes will be volunteering their time to help young athletes build confidence, learn new skills, and most importantly, know they are valued both on and off the field.
