Have you ever heard of the "New York Lottery test"? Supposedly, it's a hypothetical test to see if what you are doing is what you should be doing.

Imagine, if you will, that one morning you learn that you have just won the New York Lottery — a huge check. Do you change your fundamental behavior after receiving this news? If you basically don't (apart from getting a better truck or fixing the house, for example), then you are right where you want to be. But if you see yourself changing your behavior after winning the lottery, it means you are not currently in your personal best place.
