I up-cycled this little messenger bag by adding a beaded embellishment. I’m getting all of the vibes. So many styles from boho to western are rooted from Indigenous style. ✨Good Spirits “3 in 1” Earrings✨ Dragonflies represent “good spirits” in Indigenous culture. This is an original design by me. They can be worn three different way; base, shoulder dusters, combine the two for a statement piece. The shells represent trade between the costal and plains tribes and the Pendleton wool was a gift from my husband. He sifted through bins at the mill in Portland as a gift to me for my art. Materials -size 11 seed beads -rhinestone embellishments - shells -Amazonite -Pendleton wool Time Approximately 6 hours This artwork is protected under the “Native American Arts and Crafts Act of 1990”. 🌙I’m inspired a lot by where I live. In Central Oregon, almost everywhere you go, there’s a clear view of the moon (weather permitting lol) Someday that will be gone. Someday we will have to venture further and further away from city limits to see the moon. Beadwork can carry what we can no longer see.
