El Salón de Columnas es otra de las grandes obras de Sacchetti y Sabatini en el Palacio Real de Madrid, prácticamente gemela de la Escalera Real (¡Sorpresa!, aquí iba otra escalera igual que aquella). El fresco del techo es de Giaquinto, autor de los frescos más espectaculares del Palacio, y representa a Apolo como el Sol, acompañado de otras deidades y elementos del Tiempo, como las Horas, las Estaciones o el anillo del Zodiaco.
