Last Monday 3:30 am Jake slept walk into our back yard and fell off a rock wall only to wake up on the way down. I could hear him screaming my name but took a few minutes to find him outside. From this we managed to get him up and sit on the bed. He was in enormous pain but of course didn't want the ambulance. Corbyn and I took him to the ER where they did multiple scans of his body to find that he had broken a vertebrae in his c6 and c7. Also the Vertebrae was so crushed that it is punching a nerve causing his left arm to be very numb and no feeling. Jake will need surgery. It was planned for Wednesday but only our luck, a fire broke out early Wednesday morning pushing all surgeries back. Jake is now receiving surgery today and will probably be in the Hostpital after the surgery for another 2-3 days. Through all this Jake has managed to keep his sense of humor (most of the time) and keecthe nursing staff laughing. I've been trying to post something for days but Jake has needed someone in his room at all times since he is unable to do much on his own. Thanks for everyone keeping him in their thoughts and prayers. If you would like to visit him on Friday/Saturday he would like it a lot just ask me or Corbyn if it is a good time. We will try keep updated to let everyone know how surgery went. They are trying to put in the Rods and screws through his back but it is possible they will have to go in through the front chest cavity. Dr. Yunt will be performing the surgery.
