As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, remember that fireworks are always illegal on public lands.
🧨One less spark means one less wildfire!

Stage 1 Public Use Fire Restrictions are in effect on the Ochoco NF and Crooked River National Grassland:
🚙Never park or drive on, or use equipment that can overheat on dry vegetation
🪵Chainsaw use is allowed only between the hours of 8pm-1pm with a 1 hour fire watch
⛓Secure tow chains
🚭Properly discard of smoking materials
🔥Campfires are only allowed in designated, developed campgrounds
- If you do have a campfire in an approved campground, make sure it is cold to the touch and dead out before leaving it.
- Always consider using a safer alternative fire, fueled by propane and with an on/off switch.
