Hi Fam -
RJ here. This is one of my first times of sharing a video in this way, but I wanted you to hear some Bend Pride updates from me. As many of you know I am the Board President of Q***r Creators Collective. In a super short period of time we have been taking on the hosting of Pride and we are excited about that.
One of the core values of ours at QCC is safety. We have been working closely with Bend Parks & Rec and there are a few logistics pieces to using Drake Park that we can’t get around to create a space that we are comfortable with in order to host Pride. We are super grateful for their partnership and support through this process.
With that, Pride is being moved from Drake Park on June 24th, 2023 to Central Oregon Community College. All of the logistics remain the same. We kick off our festival at 11:00am. We have food, drinks, tons of vendors, an amazing line-up of entertainers, and a space we are excited for you all to be a part of.
While we recognize this is an unexpected change to Pride, I just want to say thank you for trusting me and my team in making decisions that we believe are best for the safety and accessibility of Pride for all of you.
We’ll be sharing a post after this with all of the updated details, so stay tuned for that. See you at Central Oregon Community College for Pride on June 24th at 11am!
