We get DM’s asking about differences between Split and Split+. And for good reason. We understand the confusion!

Split works as an occlusive barrier: it seals over a split or flapper and locks in whatever moisture is already there. It doesn’t add hydration, it traps it. Apply this liberally as needed as it actively protects the split or small cut.

Split+ is a water-based hyaluronic acid cream. That’s the key distinction: because it contains water plus hyaluronic acid, it actively hydrates the skin rather than just sealing it. Apply a small amount to the spots that need it most.

So in practice:

* Split = your barrier/maintenance balm. Protecting a flapper, locking in moisture throughout the day. Lighter, throw-it-in-the-chalk-bag use. Use it directly after climbing to kickstart the healing process.

* Split+ = the intensive therapeutic version for skin that’s more damaged / torn up… deeper splits, multiple worn-through tips, post-climbing or working destruction. More hydration, more active regeneration, but you use less of it.

If you’re picking one to keep in the bag for climbing or working days, Split is the more practical daily driver. Split+ is the one to keep at home for when your tips are genuinely wrecked for overnight recovery.
