Had an awesome time today working on exterior signage concepts for the apartment building with Robert Kemman at his 24 Creates studio in Beloit.

Look up 24 Creates for your signage or metal fabrication needs. They do great work and have created signs for local favorites like the Downtown Den Tavern & Pizza and more.

We are targeting a summer 2026 opening! Stay tuned.

These photos show Apollo, a truly unique pet who helped inspire the name of the building.

Apollo loved hanging out with our family and friends. I hope you enjoy these photos from the 1990s. My personal favorite is the one of him perched on my grandfather Francis’ shoulder in the backyard of the apartment building. This moment inspired the name of the apartment building we are currently renovating.

Apollo was unconventional, had a ton of personality, and was unforgettable -- qualities we’d like our building to have too.

We’re still hard at work bringing this place back to life, and it’s been rewarding to see the vision take shape. We’re targeting a Spring/Summer 2026 opening and wanted to share a snapshot of where things stand today.

We recently updated our website, which you can view at FrancisApollo.com. The refreshed site includes new photos, updates, and additional details on the project.

The photos in this post show the current renovation progress across the building. Much of what you’re seeing reflects structural and framing work led by Beau J Roberts, along with exterior improvements and early looks at how each unit is coming together.

The five units will be truly special when we are all done in just a few short months.
