Beloit Professional Fire Fighters Local 583

IAFF 5th District Vice-President, Mahlon Michael Mitchell, was recognized for all his contributions to the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, at the State Convention today.

On a personal note we, at Local 583, extend our thanks to our friend, Mahlon, for all his hard work, guidance and assistance he has given to our local over his years with the PFFW.

This recognition is well deserved, and we were happy to have our Executive Board members at convention to congratulate DVP Mitchell.

We are sending our thoughts and prayers to Harlem-Roscoe Firefighters Local 5575 and everyone at Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department this morning as they mourn the on-duty death of one of their own.

We will not be releasing the name until they do, but on a personal note, this hits me differently. I worked with this member as one of my very first paramedic assignments out of school, just when HRFD contracted paramedics through OSF Lifeline Ambulance. Rest Easy my friend. - Mike.
