Associate professor at Beloit College in the Department of Critical Identity Studies and Religious Studies. Sonya Johnson is a socio-cultural anthropologist by training who specializes in Africana religious life of Black descendants within the Americas.

We had a fun time swapping stories and even some spooky occurrences during the photoshoot (camera picking up a face behind Sonya when we were the only two in the Sanctuary).
