"Your past may always remind you, but it does not define you in the eyes of God." — Andy Stanley
Peter knew what it was like to be reminded of his past. After denying Jesus three times, he returned to the familiar waters of fishing, carrying the weight of failure and regret. But in John 21, Jesus met him right there on the shore—not with condemnation, but with grace.
Three times Jesus asked Peter, "Do you love me?" Not to shame him, but to restore him. Peter's failure was not the end of his story. Jesus reminded him that his past did not define him—his relationship with Christ did.
The same is true for us. We all have moments we'd rather forget, but Jesus is in the business of redemption. He meets us in our brokenness, restores what has been lost, and calls us forward into His purpose.
Your past may remind you, but it doesn't define you. Jesus does.
Cornwall Weekend Service 11AM
We all carry brokenness. We all need grace. And we all need the healing love of Jesus that restores what sin, pride, and hurt have fractured.
In John 17, Jesus prayed that His followers would be one—that our love for one another would reveal Him to the world.
The way we love each other matters. Jesus said that through our unity, the world would believe and come to truly know Him.
May we be people who pursue peace, extend grace, and reflect the love of Christ in every relationship
Because of the finished work of Jesus, our position is secure.
Forgiven. Redeemed. Made righteous in Christ.
In John 17, Jesus prays that we would belong to the Father and be sanctified by the truth.
We are set apart by Him, even while He continues to transform us.
Perfect in position.
Being made holy in progression.
“That by one sacrifice He has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.”
