Last night’s heavy rainfall flooded several roads and highways around the state (and there’s more to come!). Now’s a good time to remember that six inches of water is enough to stall a vehicle, and one foot of water is enough to make you lose control of your vehicle. When in doubt, if you can’t see the road, don’t drive through the water, don’t drive through debris flows, AND NEVER DRIVE PAST A “ROAD CLOSED” SIGN. Our crews were out late last night and into this morning working as quickly as possible to reopen roads, but we need your help to not go past closure points.
