Bellingham Photographer | COVID19 Quarantine Porch Sessions

I want to start out by saying that I'm a story teller. Being a story teller is what drew me into photography at such a young age. To be able to tell a story though photographs alone has always fascinated me and is what has always driven my passion as a photographer. It's what I strive to do with each and every photo shoot that I do. I want to tell the story, to tell your story.

That passion for story telling was the driving force behind these porch sessions. I know that some photographers have a strong opinion one way or another about doing these sessions and I can respect that. For me, I wanted to document this time in our lives, this historical moment that we will talk about for years to come. These moments will be stories that we tell our grand kids and hopefully our great grand kids someday. And, someday, those kids will look at these photos with wonder and will be able to see a glimpse of what it was like for us. That's why I did this. To tell our story.

With that, I also want to note that these are my neighbors and that I wore a mask and stayed more than 10 feet away from everyone at all times. I told them to bring their daily quarantine life to their front yard and I drove by and tried to capture a little bit of their story. They did not disappoint!

Currently editing photos from last weekend's engagement session and I'm so in love with all the images! I can't wait to deliver their gallery to them! I don't know how I always get so lucky with such fabulous clients, but I'll take it!
