Here’s an example of a locked ECU.. a previous tuner had locked the ability to read and write this ECU, forcing you to bring the vehicle back to them.

In this particular case there was no information about the tune, or the previous tuner. The new owner needed to make changes to the tune due to engine and turbo upgrades, and was in a bind due to a locked ECU.

In order to get this car tuned, a used ECU was sourced and the immobilizer/VIN data was transferred over.

100% of my tunes are open source and un-locked. That means you, or the next owner can revert to stock or make quick changes without needing the original tuner. It’s your tune that you paid for.

I am offering local Subaru street tuning, for the greater Whatcom/Skagit area. All of my tuning is done using the factory Subaru ECM, so no Cobb access port is required.

***Before your tune:
-Ensure you have more than half a tank of good fuel
in the octane you wished to be tuned for.
-Healthy motor, good even compression.
-No vacuum leaks
-No boost leaks

$60 hook up for any tuning quick tuning, or small adjustments

JDM Engine Swap optimization $240, includes up to 4 hours of redline, MAF, fueling, and timing calibration.

General tune $350, includes up to 6 hours of tuning.
