Bellevue Library Kid Librarian of the Week!

Last week we enjoyed books recommended by Royce. He likes books by Stuart Gibbs, the Big Nate books, Hilo series, Wings of Fire series, and books about cryptids, robots, and history. Thanks for the suggestions, Royce!

Bellevue Library Kid Librarian of the Week!

This week we have books recommended by Ben. He enjoys The Chronicles of Prydain, the Dark is Rising sequence, The Terrible Two series, Warriors books, Dragonbreath, the Yeti Files, and books about mummies, math, cooking desserts, and mythology. Thanks for the suggestions, Ben!

Misunderstood Moments by Lens of Youth is viewable through April 26th and shares real stories of individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD), paired with original artwork created by youth. The program also features original artwork by neurodivergent artists.

Celebrate National Poetry Month at the Bellevue Library!

Submit your original poem online* or in person at the Bellevue Library to participate in our month-long poetry contest.

Winners will be chosen by KCLS staff, with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

Attend the poetry recital and awards ceremony on Saturday, May 2, from 4:00-5:30pm for performances by the poets and awards announcements.

*Email poetry submissions to [email protected]. All submissions must be legible and include the poet's name and email address. The final date to submit a poem is April 28.
