Seattle, King County announce sweeping changes to homeless service system 07/01/2026

We are monitoring today’s news about changes to how homelessness services will be funded and managed across the region. As an organization that receives funding through KCRHA, we know this transition raises important questions for providers, partners, and the people who rely on shelter and support every day.

Our focus remains on keeping shelter, meals, case management, and housing-focused support moving without interruption for the men we serve.

We appreciate the commitment of Seattle and King County leaders to work with nonprofit providers during this transition, and we will continue to ask the practical questions needed to protect services for the men we serve.

Seattle, King County announce sweeping changes to homeless service system This will leave the region’s homelessness agency, started in 2019, with only federal funds to manage, after years of it being slowly stripped of its purview.

Steady care and thoughtful partnership define the way St. Thomas Episcopal Church hosts our Rotating Shelter this July. Each night, their space offers men a safe place to rest and reset.

We’re especially thankful for the St. Thomas liaisons, whose reliability and attention make this partnership strong and seamless. Their presence helps move our mission forward across East King County.

Save the Date!

Our annual Light the Way Luncheon is set for Thursday, September 24.

This year's theme, A Place at the Table, reflects something we see every day: People thrive when they know they belong.

For men experiencing homelessness, that can start with something as simple as a meal, a conversation, or someone who believes they deserve another chance.

Join us as we gather with friends, supporters, volunteers, and community partners to celebrate what's possible when people come together.

More information will be available soon.
