Switchback Physical Therapy

Time is becoming increasingly difficult to come by for physical therapists: time to connect with patients, time to stay current with evidence and research, and time to acquire new skills or information. That can also make it difficult to say "I'm really not sure" when faced with challenging cases or patients who participate in less familiar sports and activities. I appreciate this review, because honesty and humility are always at the forefront of my practice - finding the answers when I do not know them, or even finding the right provider, if there is a more appropriate one than myself.

As we wrap up 2021, and celebrated our first birthday nearly two months ago, we are incredibly thankful for the ability to provide such a unique delivery of insurance-based physical therapy services to South Seattle and the Eastside. Reviews like this are what continue to motivate us. π

We had a blast yesterday integrating functional screening into pre-season physicals conducted by sports medicine physicians from Orthopedic Physician Associates at Seattle Preparatory High School yesterday!
Research has supported the use of the Y-Balance Assessment in predicting lower extremity injury risk in high school and D1 football, basketball, and soccer players.
As student-athletes return to sport without gradual progressions, less practice before the season, and condensed preparation strategies, it is more important than ever to ensure their bodies are prepared for the upcoming demand!

We work with our patients 1:1 for a full 60 minutes, without distraction, enabling us to provide more efficient, personalized, and effective care!
Switchback Physical Therapy is committed to contributing to sustainable hiking trails in Washington and donates to the Washington Trails Association () for each review we receive!

Kindness, compassion, empathy, respect: they all matter. They all have the power to lift, to lead, and to heal.
Helping others often brings hope, and even healing, into our own lives. Weβre feeling that sentiment quite a bit today, and are thankful π for the opportunity to help our patients feel and move better little by little πββοΈ
It only takes one match π―to overthrow darkness. So, in a world full of dark, how can you be a small light this weekend? Who can you show some extra love to, do something kind for, or lend a hand (or shoulder) to this weekend? π‘
