SWIC Music Technology

For the past two summers SWIC has offered a songwriting class as part of the Music Technology program. We all gather in the studio twice a week for 8 weeks and become a songwriting/production team. We start with nothing and begin the process of crafting songs from chords, melody, and lyrics. Then taking those outlines we begin to record, arrange, and produce the songs until we have a finished EP. It is, by far, the most creative class I teach. There is a lot of great talent coming through SWIC these days. Check out the songs that this year's class just finished. And thanks to Ed Jacobs for playing trombone on "Pick It Up"
