One of this weeks jobs, guy called me looking for service on an old Quincy compressor, said no one would call him back and he was worried his compressor would fail and shut down his operation. Upon inspection his concerns were well founded as it was already shutting down on a motor overload.

The discharge line between the pump and the tank had cracked and despite the customers best efforts it was still leaking pretty bad. It had other control issues that needed to be addressed. I ordered parts I needed for the repairs and was back on site less then a week later.

The factory thin wall tube that was used as a discharge line was replaced with a steel braided flex line and schedule 40 pipe that will take all the abuse this pump will throw at it. The control issue was addressed to solve the other issues with hard starts that led to the unit shutting down on a fault.

I contacted my guy this evening and asked how did the compressor hold up with the high heat advisory we had today. He said it ran perfect, never faulted once and doesn't run near as much as it use to. So if you feel you are being ignored by your service provider, give me a call!
