Just a heads-up: the City of Bozeman is hard at work upgrading its century-old storm drain system as part of the Black Avenue Stormwater Improvements Project. The existing infrastructure downtown is significantly undersized and deteriorated — and it's time for a major update.

To speed up trench backfilling and compaction, CK May is using a Felco Industries 24” Tamping Pad Roller Compaction Bucket mounted on a Komatsu North America PC138USLC-11 Excavator — supported by our friends at Modern Machinery. 👊

Here’s a quick look back at one of our projects for last season. We installed 7800 feet of 30” ductile iron water pipe on the Sourdough Water Transmission Main Phase 2 project. This included 2 30” hot taps, 30” butterfly valves, 3 creek crossings, and over 3300 tons of asphalt paving.
