🍝 Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser — This Saturday! 🍝

Funds raised will go toward restoring native habitat at the Salmon Center in Belfair. The plants purchased through this fundraiser will be installed in the area our Scouts recently cleared, helping strengthen the local ecosystem for years to come.

This project also contributes toward Alexander’s Distinguished Conservation Award, recognizing his commitment to conservation and environmental stewardship.

With the clearing complete, we’re excited to begin the next phase—planting native species to create lasting impact in our community.

🐾 Scouts Helping Search & Rescue — and Having Fun Doing It! 🐾

Last week, a few Scouts & leaders had the opportunity to help out Mason County Search & Rescue during their K9 training—and it was an awesome experience!

The MCSR K9 team meets bi-weekly to train and sharpen their skills, but they can’t do it alone. They rely on volunteer “subjects” to hide in the woods (or wherever!) so the dogs can practice locating missing people. We like to say we were playing hide-and-seek with search dogs 🤪🐕

While it’s fun, this training is incredibly important for real-life situations. You never know when someone might get lost, injured, or off-track and need help being found. These dogs and handlers save lives—and we’re proud to support them.

If you’re interested in helping Mason County Search & Rescue as a volunteer “subject” or want to learn more, let us know—they are always grateful for the help!
