American Legion Chapter 379 Riders

On October 10, 2025, a special mission will be held in honor of Ms. Sally Morgan. Ms. Morgan passed away on September 26th in Grand Prairie at the age of 93.
Following the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, Ms. Morgan, then 11 years old, and her brother were detained by Japanese forces in the Philippines and held as American prisoners of war for 38 months in an internment camp. The 11th Airborne Division liberated her and her brother on February 23, 1945. Although not being in the military, she remained active with the American Ex-Prisoners of War (AXPOW) organization throughout her life.
Her memorial service is scheduled for October 10, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington at 11:00 AM, followed by a procession to the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, where interment services will begin at 1:30 PM. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Bill.
