Alton McCurley Jr. 93 of McKinney, TX; passed Jun. 08, 2026.

Services are Saturday, Jun. 13, 2026, at Paradise Baptist Church Fannett Rd. Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 12Noon until Funeral at 1PM. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery Beaumont, TX.

Alton McCurley Jr., a proud veteran and a man who embraced every moment of life, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026 at the age of 93.

Born on July 27, 1932 to the late Austin McCurley and Lillian McCurley Benard, Alton walked through life with a vibrant spirit and deep-rooted foundation. At a young age, he accepted Christ as his personal Savior, a decision that guided his steps, shaped his character, and provided him with a lifelong source of strength and direction.

Alton proudly served 23 years in the United States Army. His time in the military instilled a sense of discipline that he carried forward for the rest of his life. Upon retiring from the military, Alton dedicated 20 years of hard work to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), helping to maintain the state highway system until his second retirement. In addition, Alton enjoyed umpiring local softball games with multiple agencies.

Beyond his work and service, Alton was a person who truly knew how to live. He had an infectious love for life and people and brightened every room he entered. Alton was an avid sports enthusiast and loved attending live sporting events. He also loved music and it was a constant backdrop to a life full of great memories.

David Frank Jr. 66, of Beaumont TX; passed May 16, 2026.

Services are Saturday, Jun. 13, 2026, New Pilgrim Baptist Church 1597 Hildebrant Rd Beaumont, TX. Visitation will begin at 9AM until Funeral 10AM. Interment: 06/15/2026 in Houston National Cemetery Houston TX with a Gate Time of 11:15AM.

David Frank Jr. was born February 28, 1960, to David Frank Sr. and Barbara Pearl Frank in Beaumont, Texas.
He accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, finally he worshipped with New Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church until his death. In 1978 he graduated from French High School. After graduation he served in the United State Navy.
He worked for Denny’s Restaurant, Magnolia Cemetery, Franks Lawn Service with his Father, Reed’s Lawn Service, Beaumont Motors; after leaving the workforce, he became the owner of Franks Lawn Service until retirement.

David was a hard worker, dedicated to his family, full of life, and cherished by all. Recently David reunited with a high school girlfriend after 47 years, but things were different. They took time every day, taking turns praying in the morning and before bed at night. God has a way of preparing you to enter His home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; David and Barbara Frank.

David leaves to cherish his memories, sisters: Tanya Traylor and Dinah Davis (Rev. Joseph), Aunts: Doris Brown of Oakdale, La., Mary Lavely of Beaumont, Texas, One Uncle: Willard Bell of Beaumont, Texas., David never had any children of his own, but he played a vital part in the lives of his nieces and nephews Kawana, Michael, Dustin, Blake, Aaron, Lizzy, Oshea, Angela, Shadonna, Joseph Jr., and Jeremy. Several great nephews and several great-great nephews. A host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
