“Discover the Artist Within” The 2025 Jersey City Youth Mural Arts Program (JCYMAP) kicks off a bold new chapter in partnership with @manacontemporary and @monirafoundation — where student artists (ages 15–23) dive into a 6-week mural-making intensive that blends creativity, technical skill, and community engagement. Led by Creative Director & Filmmaker Duda Penteado, students explore every step of the process — from concept and design to installation and preservation — while gaining real-world experience through internships, residencies, and mentorships. This year’s theme, “Discover the Artist Within” invites young artists to find their voices and create impactful public art that celebrates civic pride and cultural identity.
