No Flashing + Wood Rot = Water Leaks and Damaged Wood Floors!! 😬
Unfortunately, this original all wood fixed door did not hold up to Louisiana weather enough to keep this homeowner's wood floors from being damaged by water infiltration and condensation. During our demolition, we found no threshold sealant or flashing of any kind. So when these doors started to leak, the wood floor was 1st in line to be damaged. We fixed all this by installing the proper seals, flashing the threshold, and then installing a new lifetime warrantied Jeld-Wen Window! Now, this homeowner can repair their floors and be confident that they will not have this problem again. As an added bonus, we increased the glass area by almost 50%!! Replaced once and done right!
