Joining our colleagues in praying for Senator Selders' family and friends. He was an exceptional public servant who will be greatly missed.

It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of our colleague and dear friend, Senator Larry Selders.

Larry’s kindness, unwavering optimism, and dedication to the people of Louisiana touched countless lives. He was a friend to all and a public servant who gave his heart to every endeavor.

Please keep his wife, Kendra, their two sons, and all who loved him in your prayers during this difficult time.

As an Engineer 5 in the Waste Permits Division, Carson consistently goes above and beyond to support some of the Department's most complex projects. From providing engineering expertise on major site closures to helping local governments prepare for hurricane season through emergency debris management planning, his work plays a vital role in protecting Louisiana's communities.

Carson’s dedication to public service is evident, whether he is collaborating across divisions, representing the agency at conferences, or tackling new challenges with enthusiasm. Thank you for your hard work and leadership, and congrats on this well-deserved recognition! 👏
