The conference brought together tax leaders from across the country to discuss emerging issues, share best practices, and explore the future of state and local tax administration.

Advantous’ Carl Walker will be speaking at the 2026 The American Petroleum Institute Excise Tax Forum in Houston on June 3.

Carl will join Todd Staples (Texas Oil and Gas Association), Kerry Albright (Marathon Petroleum Corporation), and Layne Wroblewski (Devon Energy) for the session, “Hot Topics in: Texas,” where the panel will discuss key developments and issues impacting the industry.
