There is a specific kind of peace you find in Beauregard Parish. 🌲🌾

While filming in the DeRidder area, we called Camp in the Pines our home base. Nestled on five acres of farmland, it offered that quiet, "country farm" atmosphere that makes working on the road in Louisiana so memorable. Being able to recharge in a setting like this is a key part of how we capture the true character of our parishes for Louisiana Public Broadcasting. πŸŽ₯🏑

Our journey across the state continues in the heart of Cajun Country. 🦞✨

While filming in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana, our home base was Cajun Bayou Cabins in Breaux Bridge. There’s something special about staying in a 19th-century cottage right on the banks of the Bayou Teche. It’s an immersive way to experience the rhythm of the bayou and the hospitality that defines this region. πŸŽ₯πŸš£β€β™‚οΈ

I'm a LeBlanc, a Cajun by birth. I thought I really understood my family tree until I walked inside Saint Martin de Tours in St. Martinville. This church is the glue that kept Cajun culture alive. If you carry an Acadian name or just love Louisiana history, this is a place you need to experience. Learn more: https://discoverlouisianatravel.com/inside-saint-martin-de-tours/
