Tonight’s Sunday Spotlight 🌟 features Dr. Richard Tsen! Read below 👇 to learn more about what Rich has been doing since he left out program.

🏠 Hometown: Katonah, New York

📚 Medical school: University of Queensland

🏥 Where he is now: Global Emergency Medicine Fellow at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)

⁉️Why he chose Emergency Medicine: Because it has prepared me and given me the opportunity to work in every situation in any place in the world

💜 What he misses about Baton Rouge: The people and community. The close friends I made over the three years I spent in Baton Rouge.

🤔 Interesting fact about yourself: Traveled to 31 countries so far, everyone go see the penguins in Cape Town or have a street taco in Oaxaca

💕 Favorite memory from residency: Catching up with friends over coffee at French Truck Coffee and tailgating at LSU on a fall Saturday. Hanging out in the trauma bay or CC1 waiting for the incoming patient.

🤓 His advice for incoming residents: Always challenge yourself to be better with every shift. Try all the different ways to do things during residency while you have an attending to be a safety net. Learning doesn't stop when you finish residency. Keep reading, always keep reading.
