A portion of Highway 173 in Shreveport is one step closer to bearing the name of a local icon who served in the Civil Rights Movement as a pioneer for change. It is on its way to being named for Dr. Harry Blake, Pastor Emeritus of the historic Mount Canaan Baptist Church of Shreveport.
