For individuals recovering from a stroke or spinal cord injury, regaining physical independence is a long, uphill battle. EMGwear, a startup from the LSU innovation ecosystem, is changing that reality with new technology designed to help patients rebuild mobility faster and improve their quality of life.

Designing medical tools is a complex process, which is why the EMGwear team joined our Southwest I-Corps regional cohort to ensure their solution fits seamlessly into busy hospital workflows and lowers long-term healthcare costs.

⚡Rather than assuming they had all the answers, the EMGwear team is interviewing real people across the healthcare system, including physical therapists, doctors, caregivers, and hospital administrators.

By listening directly to the medical community, they are building a strong business foundation to bring their life-changing technology out of the lab and into the clinics where it is needed most.
