Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial kickoff to summer, and many Louisiana families are hitting the road, heading to the water or firing up the grill. As you enjoy the long weekend, keep these quick safety tips in mind:
🛣️ On the Road: Traffic will be heavy. Buckle up, ditch the distractions and give yourself plenty of travel time. Remember to secure any trailers or loose gear before heading out!
⛵ On the Water: If you're boating or hitting the water, ensure everyone has a properly fitted life jacket. Never operate a boat or vehicle under the influence.
🍔 Around the House: Keep a close eye on the grill and ensure to keep it away from your home or overhanging branches.
