TROOP C TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Lafourche Parish – Louisiana State Police and other first responders are on the scene at Louisiana Highway 308, just north of the Belle Vue Bridge in Lockport, due to structural issues with a small bridge in that location. All through traffic must detour to LA Highway 1.

Please adjust your travel plans and expect delays. The duration of the closure is unknown at this time.

Yesterday, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop I had the opportunity to visit the kids attending Willow Wood Summer Camp. Troopers shared what a typical day looks like as a Louisiana State Trooper, answered questions, and talked about the many ways they serve and protect communities across our state.

Campers also had the chance to get an up-close look at our marked patrol vehicles and learn about some of the equipment used on patrol. Thank you to Willow Wood Summer Camp for inviting us to spend part of the day with such a great group of kids. We enjoyed the visit and appreciate the warm welcome!
